Vacheron Constantin is the oldest watchmaker in operation and has been in business since its establishment hundreds of years ago. Most of us cannot even start a business for such a long time. Over the years, Vacheron Constantin has become one of the three major Swiss watch brands and continues to impress watch lovers around the world.
Although it is not your “overseas chronograph”, the grooved bezel and unique lugs do give it a unique appearance. There are some notable models in this collection. The model you see in the photos in this article is 5500v / 110a-b148, which is probably the most popular model in the 42.5 Overseas Chronograph series. It has a striking dark blue painted dial and a smooth, polished, and brushed stainless steel bracelet.
Other models in the series include 5500v/000r-b074, which has an 18kt rose gold case, silver dial and brown alligator leather strap, and is equipped with an 18kt rose gold unfolding buckle. This is a higher-cost model, but it is more practical than the blue dial model or even the #5500v/110a-b481 black dial model (which has a “panda” dial and a silver sub-dial on the black main dial). The number is 5500v / 110a-b481.
The case size is very good, 42.5mm, but since the dial itself only occupies 70% to 80% of the available space on the surface of the case, it is worn similar to a smaller watch. The thickness of the box is 13.7 mm, and if necessary, it can be neatly tucked under the cuff.
One thing that makes this watch unique is its versatility. The suitcase is strong and durable, so it can be worn easily every day, but in order to keep the daily fun and freshness, it is also equipped with two additional belts. One is a crocodile leather strap and the other is a soft rubber strap. In this series, except for the rose gold style without a matching bracelet, it is only worn with a brown alligator leather strap and brown rubber interchangeable strap.
